Snowfall in Tuscany
Yesterday we had the last snowfall of the season here in Tuscany. I took my Leica and range-finder and I wondered in the grove behind my house. I took some shoots in film with what to me is the most beautiful film in the world: Ilford HP5. I must admit that the feeling of the film shoot is still unsurpassed for the creative vagueness of the result. It is all in your hands and not having the trivial certainty that the digital camera display offers you releases creative energies.Often limits and uncertainty are the essential requirements for creativity as they compel you to think harder to try and overcome them. There’s more adrenaline in film, no question about it! The camera seams to be “blind” and you are the one who “sees”.
