Southwest of Florence and Chianti there is different Tuscany: Maremma, to my eyes one of the most beautiful places in Tuscany, but known to so few. It’s still unspoilt, so rough, wild and true. I love driving through this region, I am deeply facinated by it’s the idea of ‘borderland’ with its spaces open to the wind, the feeling of an area abandoned either by men or by animals, but still preserving the traces of an ancient way to work and to live.
