Wedding at Villa di Maiano, Fiesole

The chance of rain during a wedding is not necessarily a problem.
On the contrary, if the couple’s spirit is high, it can present unexpected, extraordinary opportunities for a ‘different’ wedding and certainly for more exciting and creative photography. I took the following photos at Villa di Maiano in Fiesole, and I think it all went really well. I enjoyed shooting so much and I think the couple and their guests had great fun too and just loved the day! Couples here in Italy believe that a rainy wedding day brings good luck, in fact there’s a saying that goes: “Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata” which literally means “Wet bride, lucky bride”!
