This wedding I shot last summer in Lake Como is in my opinion one of the most beautiful I shot last year. The ceremony and reception took place at Villa D’Este, one of the most charming and exclusive villas set along the lake shore. The wedding ceremony was celebrated in the garden of the villa, with the view of the Lake Como surrounded by mountains in the background. Jewish weddings are full of tradition and ceremony which I absolutely love. After the dinner reception the celebrations went on with live music and joyful dancing that included of course the traditional Israeli dance called the Hora where bride and groom are lifted into the air on chairs by their guests while they hold on to either end of a handkerchief. It was all very beautiful and being back at Lake Como is always a special experience..
Uno dei più bei matrimoni di quest’anno è stato quello che ho scattato quest’estate sul Lago di Como. La cerimonia e il ricevimento si sono svolti a Villa D’Este, una delle ville più incantevoli e esclusive situata lugo la riva del lago. La cerimonia è stata celebrata nel giardino della Villa secondo il rito ebraico, con la vista del Lago di Como circondato da montagne nello sfondo. I matrimoni ebraici sono sempre molto suggestivi e carichi di tradizione. Dopo la cena le celebrazioni sono continuate con musica dal vivo e balli e ovviamente non poteva mancare la tradizionale danza Istaeliana chiamara Hora, in cui gli sposi seduti sulle sedie vengono sollevati in aria dagli ospiti, mentre tengono in mano le estremità di un fazzoletto. Il tutto è stato davvero bello e l’atmosfera di Villa D’Este e del lago di Como ha reso il matrimonio un esperienza davvero speciale.
